Managed Sortation: We Own, Run and Maintain the Sorter. You Pay per Parcel.

Most delivery stations aren't set up to keep automation running: no technician on site, no spare parts on the shelf, and every breakdown becomes a ticket. SortLease takes the equipment off your books and off your to-do list.

Five blockers stand between most stations and automation: no equipment to buy, no capital to raise, and no one on staff to design, deploy or maintain the line. SortLease removes all five — we design, deploy, own and maintain it, and your station pays per parcel sorted.

Quick answer: SortLease funds, installs, operates and maintains the sorting equipment at your station, and you pay per parcel sorted, from $0.10. Service levels — response time, preventive maintenance, spare parts and an uptime target — are agreed per site in writing after a site assessment. We sign your NDA and complete your supplier onboarding.
The problem

Stations Are Built to Deliver, Not to Maintain Machines

Hubs have maintenance teams. Delivery stations usually don't. When a station gets automation, someone still has to schedule maintenance, stock parts, fix jams before the morning sort and update the sort plan every time routes change.

Without that, equipment sits idle or gets worked around, and the sorting goes back onto drivers' time. Capital approval for each new station adds months on top.

What we take over

  • Equipment: funded, delivered and installed by SortLease
  • Preventive maintenance, scheduled outside your sort windows
  • Repairs and spare parts
  • Sort-plan updates when routes change
  • Training for your station team
  • Removal at the end of the term
Service levels

Written Per Site, Not Promised in General

We agree service levels for each station after we have seen it, based on the technicians and parts we can commit locally. What goes into every agreement:

ItemHow it is set
Response timeHours from your call to a technician on site, fixed per site
Preventive maintenanceSchedule and checklist, outside your sort windows
Spare partsWhich critical spares are kept on site or nearby
Uptime targetTarget for your sort windows, and how it is measured and reviewed
ReportingParcels sorted (the basis of billing), stoppages and fixes, reviewed with your team

If the line stops, your station sorts by hand as it does today, so freight is never stranded.

Vendor onboarding

Ready for Your Procurement Process

Large networks buy through procurement, legal and safety teams. We work through your process rather than around it.

Request our vendor pack
  • NDA — yours, or a mutual NDA, signed before we see volumes or layouts
  • Company documents — W-9, banking and company details for vendor setup
  • Insurance — certificates to the limits in your vendor requirements
  • Site safety — technicians follow your safety, access and badge rules
  • IT — no connection to your systems unless you require one, then under your security rules
How an engagement works

From NDA to Rollout

1. NDA and intro

We sign your NDA and review your network and the stations that hurt most.

2. Site assessment

Layout, inbound volumes, routes and sort windows at one station.

3. Written proposal

Equipment, per-parcel rate and service levels for that site.

4. Pilot, then rollout

A 30-day pilot at one station, then more stations on the same terms.

FAQ

Managed Sortation Questions

Who owns the sorting equipment?

SortLease. We fund, install and maintain the equipment at your station. You pay per parcel sorted, so there is no capital purchase or equipment on your books.

Who maintains and repairs it?

SortLease does: preventive maintenance, repairs, parts and sort-plan updates. Response times and the maintenance schedule are written into the service agreement for each site.

What happens if the line stops during a sort?

Your station can always sort by hand as it does today, so a stoppage never strands freight. Our response time for that site is set in the service agreement, and repeat issues are reviewed with your team.

Will you sign our NDA?

Yes. We sign your NDA or a mutual NDA before we see volumes, layouts or route data, and all site information stays confidential.

Can you be set up as a registered vendor?

Yes. We complete your supplier onboarding: company documents, W-9, banking, insurance certificates to your requirements, and your site safety and access rules for technicians.

Do you guarantee uptime?

We set an uptime target per site after the assessment and write it into the agreement, based on the technicians and spare parts we can commit locally. We don't quote a generic number before we have seen your site.

How is pricing set?

Per parcel sorted, from $0.10, quoted per site after the assessment. A purchased system is also available, quoted per configuration.

Do you work in Canada?

We assess Canadian stations case by case. Pricing in Canadian dollars and equipment certification are confirmed during the site assessment.

Will the sorter connect to our network?

Only if you want it to, and then under your IT and security requirements. Sort plans can be loaded without connecting to your systems.
