SortLease S15: Compact Small Parcel Sorting System
A modular parcel sorter configured for each site: stacked vertically up to six tiers, or laid out flat. Run it on pay-per-parcel pricing, or buy it outright.
What the SortLease S15 Does
3,600 parcels/hour
Rated throughput per tier or line. Six vertical tiers together reach 21,600 per hour.
99.99% rated accuracy
Rated sorting accuracy from the manufacturer's specification. Documentation is available on request.
5-sided optical reading
Reads barcodes and printed label text on up to five sides of each parcel, configured to how labels are applied.
Arm-type diverter
Moves each parcel off the line into its assigned chute. Chutes are mapped by route, by carrier, or a mix.
Two operators
A system is typically run by two operators. Induction can be manual or automatic.
2–4 week installation
SortLease designs the configuration for your site, then delivers and installs it in 2–4 weeks.
Rated figures. Actual throughput and accuracy depend on parcel mix, label quality and staffing. How the SortLease S15 works.
Vertical or Flat, Sized to Your Volume
Every system is designed for its building, so we name each one by what was built: V for vertical (tiers stacked, up to six), F for flat (lines side by side), and the number of tiers or lines.
- Vertical (S15-V#): for sites short on floor space. Capacity grows upward.
- Flat (S15-F#): for sites with floor space and lower ceilings, or where lines need to be spread across docks.
- Sizing: divide your volume by your sort window. Example: 20,000 parcels in 2 hours is 10,000 an hour, so three tiers or lines.
| Configuration | Layout | Rated parcels/hour |
|---|---|---|
| SortLease S15-V1 | Vertical, 1 tier | 3,600 |
| SortLease S15-V2 | Vertical, 2 tiers | 7,200 |
| SortLease S15-V3 | Vertical, 3 tiers | 10,800 |
| SortLease S15-V4 | Vertical, 4 tiers | 14,400 |
| SortLease S15-V5 | Vertical, 5 tiers | 18,000 |
| SortLease S15-V6 | Vertical, 6 tiers | 21,600 |
| SortLease S15-F# | Flat, # lines | 3,600 per line |
Earlier model names (S10, S20, H20, CompactSort C10, LastMile L12, CrossDock X25) now map to these configurations.
SortLease S15 vs a Cross-Belt Sorter
Cross-belt sorters are usually built as one continuous loop sized for a large hub. The SortLease S15 is deployed line by line, so it fits small, mid-size and large sites and grows with volume.
| SortLease S15 | Typical cross-belt sorter | |
|---|---|---|
| Energy use | About 40% less than a cross-belt sorter* | Baseline |
| Footprint | Smaller; capacity can stack upward in up to six tiers | Larger; capacity grows outward with the loop |
| Deployment | Single-line modules, 3,600 parcels/hour each | One continuous loop |
| Site size | Small, mid-size and large sorting sites | Mainly large hubs |
| Adding capacity | Add a line, or stack another tier vertically | Extend or replace the loop |

Each tier or line is rated at up to 3,600 parcels per hour. Vertical systems stack up to six tiers for 21,600 parcels per hour; flat systems run lines side by side. Actual throughput depends on parcel mix, label quality and staffing.
What is the SortLease S15's sorting accuracy?
The rated sorting accuracy is 99.99%, from the manufacturer's specification. Documentation is available on request.
How many people does it take to run?
A system is typically run by two operators. Induction can be manual or automatic, depending on volume and staffing.
How does the SortLease S15 compare with a cross-belt sorter?
It uses about 40% less energy than a cross-belt sorter (manufacturer data), takes less floor space because capacity can stack up to six tiers, and is deployed line by line, so it suits small, mid-size and large sites rather than only large hubs. See the comparison.
How long does installation take?
SortLease designs the configuration for the site, then delivers and installs it in 2–4 weeks.
How much does a SortLease S15 cost?
Most delivery partners use pay-per-parcel pricing from $0.10 per parcel, with no equipment to buy. Systems can also be purchased; purchase prices are quoted per configuration.
